We have three Chiropractors and one Osteopath working at Borders Chiropractic.
All of our Chiropractors are UK graduates and registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). Our Osteopath is registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Since graduating all of our Practitioners have continued to expand their expertise by regularly attending courses and further study.
While each of our Practitioners use similar treatment techniques, we do have slightly different skill sets and areas of interest which compliment one another allowing us to provide patients with a wider choice of treatment options.

Chris joined the team at Borders Chiropractic in 2011 and also has his own practice in Nenthorn (near Kelso).
Chris utilises mainly a combination of Diversified chiropractic techniques (which includes adjustments and manipulation), and the Neuro Impulse Protocol – a very gentle form of treatment originally developed in Australia for use with paediatric patients. He also often uses an Activator instrument and various soft tissue treatments. Chris also has an interest in food and nutrition, and the contribution these can make to a patients overall health and wellbeing. Chris has attended training courses with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) and now offers acupuncture both as a stand alone treatment and in conjunction with chiropractic.

Adam Scobbie – Chiropractor
Adam graduated from the University of Dundee in 2009 with an honours degree in neuroscience, however after not being impressed with the career opportunities available following on from this he started a long and methodical search for the ideal career. Adam joined the team at Borders Chiropractic in 2015 and now also has his own practice in Edinburgh. During this search he found chiropractic, and was extremely impressed by the improvement in pain and function so many people experienced from various treatments administered by chiropractors mainly by using only their hands. This led to a burning desire to become a chiropractor himself. Five years later he graduated from the Anglo European College of Chiropractic, and now uses a variety of hands on chiropractic techniques along with other modalities (such as interferential and ultrasound) to help his patients.
Prior to joining the team at Borders Chiropractic, Adam worked in a busy multidisciplinary clinic in Aberdeen. Adam is a member of the British Chiropractic Association and a member of the Royal College of Chiropractors.
Apart from his qualifications in neuroscience and chiropractic, Adam also completed a diploma in clinical hypnotherapy which he has finds useful both personally and professionally. In his spare time Adam enjoys indoor rock climbing. He believes that the fitness activities we undertake should utilise the whole body’s range of motion to maintain good overall body balance.
Adam is AXA PPP and AVIVA registered and is available for appointments.
